Subject:   Fuel dripping from choke

Message Posted

After running the engine for a while I noticed a slight residue on the engine mount, under the choke mechanism.

I watched this for a while and it appears I'm getting about 2 or 3 small drops of fuel a minute from somewhere around my choke assembly.

Of course I turned off the fuel supply (I have an inline valve that I can close) and ventilated the area. The drip slowed down and eventualy stopped.

With a leak this small it's going to be hard to determine where it's coming from so I was wondering if anyone has seen this before and if so where their problem originated. Or just if anyone has any ideas of the most likley places this could be originating from.

The actual drop forms just forward of the spring on the arm where the choke cable connects, but I can't be sure if that's where the leak is or if that's just where it's collecting.

All advice greatly recieved.
