Paul,

After buying a used A-4 I set it up to run in my garage so I could evaluate the preformance and make any corrections needed before installing in the boat cave. I made the stand much stronger than needed but I wasn't sure how much viberation there would be. As it turned out it was a smooth running engine. I used a toggel switch and a momentary make push button switch got from Radio Shake for the iqnition and start button. Not expensive. I used a outboard fuel tank with the bulb for prime and it works fine. For cooling I used a 5 gallon bucket with a hose from the intake of the water pump in it. I also used a hose from the water exit on the manifold to outside the garage. I use a garden hose with flow adjusted as water input into the bucket. The hardest part for me was to wire the engine correctly but I found a wiring diagram on the internet that I followed. Not hard. I also connected a oil gauge and temp gauge, important preformance indicators. I also used a tack dewel meter to set up the ignition. I will send you pictures of the set up if you would like (will need your e-mail address). It was a fun project.

Sea~ya

Walt
