I am pulling an A4 from a Columbia 8.3 (27' 4"). I have an extra engine to experiement on and after removing the head, exhaust manifold, alternator, starter, flywheel cover dipstick etc! I can pick the block up myself without herniating this 54 year old body. The hard part is getting it loose from its' mounting. I don't intend to press it over my head just drag it to the quarter birth where I will strip and clean the inside. Only 460 hours on overhaul but it sat in water for several years. I think it possible to drag it far enough out to hoist it out the companionway if you strip it down. The tranny wieghs about 80 pounds and can be removed once it is on the cabin floor. Good luck to both of us.
