Subject:   Engine stalls upon acceleration

My circa 1971 Atomic 4 stalls, and sometimes dies completely, upon acceleration under load. Runs fine in netural. If it does not stall out completly under load, it will come back and maintain RPM's. (Kind of scary comming into port). Anyone else had this problem?
