Hi Dave.
maybe your exhaust exit is not highenough on the transom. There are flappers to go over the exhaust to stop water from entering. If your iron pipe does not make an inverted u going up above the water line the water injection tube should with an anti siphon valve in it above the water line. Ther are several good sites for an explanation of this but I have a time constraint now. I will try to find them for you tonight.
