Are you sure the clutch is not slipping? Why do you think cavitation and not a slipping clutch? The symptoms seem to me to be consistent with a clutch problem. It is a simply task to adjust the clutch on the A4. I would do that before messing with the prop. Do you have Moyer's manual for the A4?
