A week ago while running at slow speed, the A-4 (Rebuilt 1992/ 200 hrs.) began running on three cylinders.---Removed plugs to find #1&2 looking good. #3looked like it was damp and #4 was wet. Ran a compression test and had about 110- 120 on #1,2,3. #4 came in at 60lbs. Spark plug wires for #3&4 were badly deteriorated and their connector ports on the distributor cap were corroded; especially #4. Replaced cap, wires, points, condensorand plugs. After running roughly a few minutes, stopped motor and checked plugs. #4 wet.My suspicions are: 1.) Head Gasket, 2.) Manifold Gasket. Exhaust system seems to be working fine. How about you? (Oh, yes, I run in salt water.) Thanks
