Few weeks back I added the new sender unit and adjusted the oil pressure adjusting nut to get the reading 40-50psi. Meanwhile I have pulled the head, had it resurfaced, and cleaned-off the manifold from clogs. Since putting everything back together oil pressure is reading zero again. Cylinder compression is good. Everything runs well but there is a loud rattling sound which is very inconsistent. Sometimes its there, sometimes it's not. Oil pressure is reading zero and I noticed ocationally, a thin white smoke comming from the manifold/block gasket, barely noticeable. Does anyone know what the rattling noise is, or how do I get the oil pressure back? If I had an oil leak at the rings, would it show up as a minor decrease in cylinder compression? Thanks.
