I have a 1982 Atomic 4 in my Catalina 27. A year and a half ago I had a mechanic remove it and refurbish it due to a valve problem. The valves were reground and adjusted. Head resurfaced, new wire harness, new thermostat, new cooling pump, removed and cleaned exhaust riser, etc. The cylinders, rings, bearings, etc. were OK so he didn't do anything with those. It ran great but is now not pumping any water out of the exhaust (raw water cooled) and there is a small water leak on the plate on the side where the cooling water inlet goes in. I hate engines and am not willing to put another dime into the motor and can't do any work on it myself (no patience and not the right tools or know-how). So I am putting an outboard on the boat this weekend and wondered if anyone in the Central Florida (Tampa Bay) area has any interest in the Atomic 4 engine?
