My alternator, a 55 amp one purchased last summer, charges the batteries at about 13.5 when they are topped up. This is low I am told. A couple of times the motor has slowed (rpm) and the charge was reading 17 volts for a few seconds.
I understand this is not good. Anyone have an idea of what the problem could be. Should I get a new regulator
