Hello A4ers,
I recently became the owner of a1967 A4 and have had trouble with particles in the carb causing stalls. I have 2 truck type water/gas separators, a glass bowl sediment filter with a ceramic element, and, last before the fuel pump, a metal bowl with NO element inside. Both filters were extremely dirty, so cleaning them my have solved the problem. I am wondering, though, what type of element belongs in the metal filter? Is a new in-line filter necessarily better?
