I have an A4, installed 6 months ago, bought very used. When I bought it, the transmission was difficult to shift manually, and since, the problem has gradually become worse & worse. Today, I broke the shift lever off completely trying to shift into neutral. I pulled the engine (impossible to work on trans in boat), and I'm trying to figure out my next step. The transmission is completely stuck about halfway into forward. I opened up the trans, and there's nothing glaringly obvious (e.g. rust, broken parts, etc) Is there an adjustment, or a rebuilt kit of some sort? has anyone else had this problem? Any advice or input would be immensely helpful.
