The engine is burning up the starter fluid, the engine is not getting any gas, check your filters and lines for blockage. Gas gets pulled out of the bowl by vacum created in the carb (venturi effect). Pull your gas line and make sure you are getting gas flow, if you are getting gas you could have a stuck float (sometimes remedied by tapping the carb)
