The only thing the hand crank is doing is substituting you for the starter motor. First you need the crank handle. Then you need to be sure that you have enough clearance at the flywheel end of the engine to actually turn the handle. In my installation I can only get about half a turn so it is unlikely to work. If you can get a full circle and keep turning, you should be able to start it with the same procedure you normally use for starting. Turn the ignition key on. Crank until it starts. You probably won't be able to reach the normal engine controls, but if you are alone you can probably operate the engine end of the choke and throttle. Turn it off with the key. Make sure that you have the proper cranking handle that will release when it starts or you will probably break something painful.
