No Pete, don't own a Northren, have a Columbia 8.7... standard engine compartment setup. That is correct, there is no smell while running. I run my blower for a few mins. prior to startup, sniff the vent exhaust and have never had a fume issue. I shut the blower down as soon as the engine is running. Another thing I was thinking was your exhaust. With a mid boat located engine, you have a long exhaust run to the stern, is that correct? You might want to take a close look for any exhaust leaks. Do you smell any raw gasoline? Or, is it just an exhaust smell you have below?
