The gasket in the rebuild kit is rubber. The replacement gasket is cork glued together with rubber. If you are on the east coast Moyer Marine.com would probably be best for you. The west coast atomic four engine service.com (bob Hess) or myself at nuclearengine.com. I do not have them listed on my site, but if you send me an e-mail with your address. $3.00 for the gasket and 1 for shipping. you can also buy the material at a good auto parts store. The normal cork sheet is not the right stuff. This cork is tough. you might be able to find a rubber washer at a good auto parts, or one that can be cut down. Do not get one at the hardware store because plumbing parts are not the same. Gas will make them soft and expand and leak and we do not want that! Try a place like applied industrial technology formerly bearings inc.
