I have been having trouble with sticky valves all summer. I have just taken the head off my engine. The exhaust valves on #2 & #3 cylinder were stuck wide open and would not close. I tried the Marvel Oil treatment to no avail. If you have already done this check your carb to make sure that the oil didn't fill the bowl. You are probably better off to use carb cleaner as it will dissolve carbon build up faster. Before you start plundering around inside the cylinder with a bent screwdriver get a headgasket and lay it on top of the head so that you have a footprint of exactly were you are going. Good Luck.
