I have the Racor installed already. It looks to be the very same one that you have. I was curious, since I don't have any manuals on that filter, what the outlet on the very top is for. Is changing the element any big deal? What is your procedure for servicing that filter?
Yes, the electronic ignition is a good way to go. I will plan for that.
Lack of use is a common problem. I am a user and most often move the boat once a week, weather permitting... I do alot of solo sailing on Fridays, as that is my day off before the weekend. I even go down and run the engine until she reaches op temp between 160 and 170deg.
