I know this is an old post but what the heck keep it alove for the future. I found the same problem and could not find it for awhile. I finally got on top of the motor and spent a half hour wiping it down and making sure it was clean. Next I found that the oil was coming from the pipe the oil sender is threaded onto. I teflon taped it being careful that I did not block the tube and that cured it. The oil would travel down the carburator side of the motor seeping along the oil pan flange and drip off the back of the block which made me think it was a seal at first.
