Dear Brian: If you have a freshwater system, closed, then Barrs leak(small bottle) will work. If your pulling raw water then you'll need a pick hammer and some hours, I assume you can see the crack? Cast is softer than forged hammer, pick at crack with point directly over the crack brading the crack closed, slowly but surely the leak will abate, remember you've only got the depth of the overlay till it rust through, might go summer and might last years. Crack will expand with heat so if you've got anyway to heat it a little while working it it'll last longer. This is a poor mans repair but I've gotten away with it for years on several different engines.
