Thanks again for the fine comments. I believe that I do have an auto shutoff to the pump that I have. The pump, is not mounted to the engine, it is mounted on the side bulkhead along with the Racor filter. I did notice the safety switch kit from Moyer marine. If I determine that I don't have a setup like that, I will order it.

The polishing filter, can I just buy an automotive filter (metal) for that purpose, or is it best to buy the one Moyer advertizes? Also, I understand that you can get a pressure guage for the Racor filter that will tell you when its time to change the element. Is it worth getting?

Also, when you do change the filter, because you are now "sucking" the fuel, will I have to prime the filter first?

Best regards,

Dennis
