Running the fuel pump from a switch is dangerous and I believe violates Coast Guard regulations. It should run only when the ignition is on, so it gets power through the ignition switch. In the same circuit you should have an oil pressure switch. You can get one from Don Moyer, which will be the right type and connection size or can probably get one in an auto parts store. You need one for 10psi, Normally Open. The thread size should match the connection on the engine where either the hose to the oil pressure gauge (early engines with direct acting pressure gauge) or the oil pressure sender (late engines with electronic gauge)is connected. Either way, you need to put a tee in the line to install the new switch.
