I have just taken apart my Atomic 4 in order to re-build it.
I had trouble with oil leaks for year. I was surprised to find when the motor was sitting in my basement that oil was leaking from the front and rear crankshaft seal. Neither of these, in the condition that mine were, would leak oil out enough to fill a bilge; although in two years I suppose it may put a film of oil on the water to make a mess.

I think the leak at the flywheel end may have been prevented if two bolts under the oil pan that attach the flywheel cover to the oil pan were tighter - it appeared that oil was leaking by the gasket in this area. However, it may be more likely that in this area oil would have naturally flowed down.

I anyone has any thoughts to prevent oil leakage I'm quite interested. I had used a blue gasket sealer on the reverse gear cover that had caused some problems. It appeared to work and was easily removed later.
