Can plain fiberglass tape (the kind you use for fiberglass repairs) be used to wrap the exhaust piping from the manifold to the waterlift muffler? Or should I use the expensive aluminized 1200 degree stuff they make for insulating automotive headers and exhaust systems? My object is to prevent burns or equipment damage from contact with the hot pipe.
