Subject:   Replacing the fuel tank

Message Posted

I've reciently bought a C27 that had been used for racing and to reduce weight the previous owner had removed the fuel tank and replaced it with an outboard tank mounted in the lazerette (go figure).

So I've installed a new tempo tank and all new hoses, all I have to do now is connect the line from the fuel tank to the fuel filter (the system after that seems well maintained and the hoses fairly new).

So my question is...

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to priming the fuel lines?

Is there anything I should know about the hand priming pump on this engine?

Has anyone replaced a fuel tank and have any advice they would like to pass on to a newbie?

Cheers,

Andy (s/v Cheap Thrill)
