Figment (sorry you didn't give your first name),

If necessary you can mount the oil sending unit remotely.

Replace the threaded nipple in the block with an 1/8" barbed nipple. Then run a length of high pressure hose (power steering hose is perfect) to a convenient location and mount the sending unit there. Don Moyer has a kit you can use part #FPMP_08_49 , Oil safety switch kit (for bulkhead mounting).

As far as the temperature gauge goes, there should be a fitting in the front-side of the head directly above the flywheel where the temperature sending unit should go.
