Subject:   Very confused?

Message Posted

My atomic 4 seems to have a carbon problem. Twice I have had the first valve in the #1 cyclinder sieze in the open position. Each Time I have torn apart the head apart and found it was completely gooped up with carbon, causing it to seize open. After cleaning the valve and reassembling it, The engine runs great for a couple of weeks. Then it wont start anymore, only to find the same valve is gooped open again. Assuming it was dirty fuel I installed a water/fuel seperator. This didn't solve the problem. The carburater has been cleaned several times. I might be inproperly adjusting the carb? Does anybody have any advice. It would greatly be appreciated. Thank you
Dave
