Well, on Saturday I replaced
fuel filters
spark plugs
coil
condenser
not the points - a friend came by- ex mechanic and said the points looked like they were just changed.
I also had to change the water pump hose - added a raw water strainer.The engine started up quickly but that %&** thing still stalls when motoring.
It seems to be fine when idling at the dock but once out on the water and motoring, it stalls. then starts right back up and then eventually stalls.
My friend, an ex-mechanic came out motoring with me. He could not figure it out. He recommended getting a fuel gauge to test the fuel pump. I have an electrical fuel pump.
any idea's gang?
