Thanks Laurent. I already overhauled my carburator
and cleaned it with lacquer thinner. I also took
the fuel tank out of the boat and cleaned it for
about 2 weeks with lacquer thinner, tide, and
then acetone. There was about 1" of varnish at
the bottom of the -monel- tank. I think the fuel
system is OK. Will replace the plug wire -have just
ordered one from Don Moyer- as one of the leads had
burned almost to the wire being againts one of the
spark plugs, and could explain the problem.
