Subject:   engine leaks

My A-4 leaks raw water out of the side of the block, below the head on the alternator side. I
beleive I had read, in the past, that the fix for that is to pull the head and the studs and add
sealer before replacing the studs. I can't find where I read it, however.

Does that sound corrcct?

What should I use to seal it? Is it a locktite type material?
Should I pull ALL the studs as long as I am at it, or just the port side?

Thanks,
Keith

P.S. I always replace the raw water with fresh tap water when I put the boat back in the slip.
I installed a "T" fitting in the intake hose & it sure is cheaper than a fresh water system.
